Privacy Policy
Plain language, no surprises. Here's how we collect, use, and protect your information.
This Privacy Policy explains how Her Purpose Pathway ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Tiffany Owens, collects and uses information when you visit herpurposepathway.com (the "Site"), subscribe to our email list, purchase a product, or otherwise interact with us. We use plain language because we want you to actually read it.
Important note: This Privacy Policy is provided as a starting point. Before relying on it for legal compliance in your jurisdiction, we recommend you review it with a licensed attorney. Laws around data privacy (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other state-level rules) evolve frequently.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Email address — when you sign up for our free affirmations, the Pathway Quiz, or our newsletter.
- Name — when you complete the contact form or sign up for certain offers.
- Pathway Season — when you take the Pathway Quiz, we record which season (Identify, Anchor, Walk, or Multiply) you receive so we can send relevant content.
- Messages and inquiries — the contents of any form submission, email, or social-media message you send us.
- Purchase information — if you buy Affirmed in Faith through our Etsy shop, Etsy collects and processes your payment and shipping information directly. We do not see or store your credit card details.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, links clicked, time on page, referring source, device type, browser, and approximate location based on IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies — small files stored in your browser that help the Site function and that allow us to understand how visitors use the Site.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Send you the resources you requested (affirmations, quiz results, devotionals, newsletters)
- Respond to messages, questions, or inquiries
- Send occasional emails about new resources, blog posts, or products — you can unsubscribe at any time
- Improve the Site and our content based on how visitors actually use it
- Personalize the resources we send you based on the season of life you're walking through
- Comply with applicable laws
3. Third-party services we use
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Site. Each has its own privacy policy. We currently use:
- Etsy — processes book sales, shipping, and reviews. See Etsy's Privacy Policy.
- Email service provider (such as MailerLite, Flodesk, or similar) — delivers newsletters and automated email sequences. Your email is stored with our provider, never sold.
- Google Analytics or similar — helps us understand how visitors use the Site. We use this in aggregate, not to identify you personally.
- Hosting provider — stores the Site files and may have access to usage logs.
- Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest) — only see your information if you interact with us there.
4. Cookies
The Site uses cookies for two reasons: to remember basic preferences (like whether you've dismissed a popup) and to measure how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. Most browsers let you control cookies through your settings. Blocking cookies may affect some functionality.
5. Email and unsubscribe
If you subscribe to our list, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. You can also email us at [email protected] and we'll remove you. We comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and aim to comply with applicable international standards.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal information, including:
- The right to access a copy of the information we hold about you
- The right to correct information that is inaccurate
- The right to delete your information (subject to certain exceptions)
- The right to opt out of marketing emails
- The right to portability — receive your data in a usable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us immediately so we can remove it.
8. How we protect your information
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us — including HTTPS encryption for the Site, vetted third-party providers, and limited access to personal information. No method of internet transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from another country, please understand your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data laws may differ from your home country.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers when reasonable.
